Stories of Impact

β€œIn my community women and youth lack access to quality education and
economic empowerment owing to the high rates of early marriages, early
pregnancies, school dropouts and living below the dollar coupled with
the increasing rates of climate change(resulting from Illegal logging
for fuel production) and poor waste management practices which are
hindering factors to sustainable development. I have always been trying
to figure out the best way how to implement a sustainable solution to
overcome all of the above challenges. The insightful workshops at UNITE
2030 urged me on the power of passion, dreaming on and actually having
the courage to take action for impact. It got me thinking, what if we use
garbage to produce charcoal instead of cutting down trees as a measure
of promoting economic empowerment and access to quality education?.”
