Camp 2030 | 2026 Participation Agreement: Terms & Conditions

AGREEMENT BETWEEN PARTICIPANT AND INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT HOUSE (“UNITE 2030”)

Each individual applying to participate in Camp 2030 taking place in New York on May 27 to June 2, 2026 shall be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms”), and these Terms shall form the agreement between International Development House (“UNITE 2030”) and each participant to the Camp 2030 (“Participant” or “you”).

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR CAMP 2030. By applying and/or registering for Camp 2030, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms you may not be eligible to participate in Camp 2030. You also represent and warrant that you are of legal age to agree to these Terms and that all registration information you submit is accurate and truthful. UNITE 2030 may, in its sole discretion, refuse to offer Camp 2030 services to any person and change its eligibility criteria at any time. This provision is void where prohibited by law and the right to access Camp 2030 is revoked in such jurisdictions.

A.  INDIVIDUAL APPLICATION AND PAYMENT TERMS

Applications:
Spaces for Camp 2030 are limited. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis by UNITE 2030 staff or its officially designated representatives. Admission is based on the following eligibility criteria:

Age:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old on the first day of Camp 2030. The general age limit for eligibility is 35; however, UNITE 2030 may grant exceptions to applicants over 35 years old at its sole discretion. No exceptions will be made for individuals under the age of 18.

Visas:
See Section A – Visa Requirements for details.

Scholarships:
UNITE 2030 may offer a limited number of scholarships each year, awarded through a formal application process. Receipt of a scholarship is subject to the conditions outlined in Addendum A – Scholarship Terms.

  1. VISA REQUIREMENTS

Before attending Camp 2030 in New York, Participants are required to obtain an appropriate visa in accordance with the applicable entry requirements of the United States. It is the sole responsibility of each Participant to apply for and secure their visa in a timely manner.

UNITE 2030 may issue a visa support letter confirming acceptance to Camp 2030 to assist with the visa application process. These letters are provided only after the Participant’s Deposit has been paid in full. No additional documentation, including supplementary letters or embassy correspondence, will be provided by UNITE 2030 beyond the standard visa support letter.

Participants are expected to initiate their visa application process promptly upon receiving their visa letter and are required to notify the UNITE 2030 team of any anticipated or actual delays, barriers, or issues in securing a visa.

Proof of visa denial is not required to qualify for any partial refund under our cancellation terms; however, Participants must act in good faith and communicate openly. Failure to engage with the visa process or communicate in a timely manner may affect eligibility for refunds as outlined in these Terms & Conditions.

  2. REGISTRATION FEE

All applicants are required to pay a Registration Fee as part of the Camp 2030 application process. UNITE 2030 reserves the right to limit the number of Participants admitted at each fee tier and to adjust pricing based on registration type, delegation size, or date of payment.

  3. SCHOLARSHIPS & DISCOUNTS

UNITE 2030 may offer a limited number of need-based or merit-based scholarships at its sole discretion. These scholarships are awarded through a formal application process only. Outside of this process, UNITE 2030 does not provide discounts, waivers, or reductions to the Registration Fee under any circumstances.

Scholarship availability, eligibility, and selection criteria are determined exclusively by UNITE 2030 and may change without notice. Unsolicited requests for scholarships, discounts, or financial exceptions — including email inquiries or appeals — will not be considered or responded to.

  4. DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT

To confirm participation, all accepted applicants — including scholarship recipients — must submit a $500 USD non-refundable Deposit within 7 calendar days of receiving their official acceptance or scholarship confirmation email. This Deposit secures your place at Camp 2030 and is credited toward your total Registration Fee. Failure to submit the Deposit within this window will result in forfeiture of your space. UNITE 2030 does not grant extensions under any circumstances. See Addendum A for additional terms related to scholarships.

  5. BALANCE PAYMENT

All Camp 2030 Participants — including those receiving scholarships — are required to pay the remaining balance of their Registration Fee after submitting their Deposit. The final deadline for all balance payments is March 28th, 2026. UNITE 2030 will provide payment instructions and timeline reminders via email.

Participants who fail to complete their balance payment by this deadline, whether paying in full or via a payment plan, will be withdrawn from Camp 2030 and will forfeit all funds paid, including their non-refundable Deposit

  6. PAYMENT PLANS

Participants may request a payment plan after submitting their Deposit. Approval of a payment plan is at the sole discretion of UNITE 2030 and subject to available options. All payment plan schedules will be documented in writing and must be adhered to.

If a Participant misses a scheduled payment under an approved plan and does not resolve the outstanding amount within 10 calendar days, UNITE 2030 reserves the right to cancel the Participant’s registration and reassign their Camp 2030 slot without further notice. All amounts paid up to that point — including the Deposit and any partial payments — are non-refundable.

Partial payments made through an installment plan are non-refundable under all circumstances unless explicitly stated otherwise in the Camp 2030 refund policy (see Section B or Addendum A for eligible scholarship cases). No credit, refund, or transfer of partial payments will be granted if a Participant withdraws or is removed after initiating a payment plan.

  7. PAYMENT METHODS

All payments must be made using the official methods designated by UNITE 2030. Payment instructions will be provided upon acceptance. UNITE 2030 does not accept cash, third-party payments, or alternative arrangements unless expressly authorized in writing.

  8. ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Any additional charges, including but not limited to optional activities, additional accommodation, merchandise or services availed by the participant during Camp 2030, will be billed separately and are not included in the Registration Fee.

The Registration Fee does not include airfare, visa fees, or personal travel insurance. All Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own international and domestic travel to and from Camp 2030.

  9. NON-PAYMENT CONSEQUENCES

Participants are not considered fully registered until the entire Registration Fee has been paid in full. If a Participant fails to complete their payment — including missing a payment plan installment — UNITE 2030 reserves the right to cancel their registration without further notice.

If a Participant misses a payment and fails to communicate with UNITE 2030 in writing within ten (10) calendar days, their registration will be permanently cancelled, and all funds paid to date — including any portion of the Deposit that may otherwise have been refundable — will be forfeited in full. No exceptions will be granted.

Camp 2030 benefits will not be held, reserved, or guaranteed for individuals with unpaid balances or unresolved payment issues.

  10. TRANSFERS

Camp 2030 Registration Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Participants may not transfer their acceptance, payments, or registration to another individual, another year, or another program unless explicitly authorized in writing by UNITE 2030.

B.  CANCELLATION BY PARTICIPANT

The Registration Fee, including the Deposit, is non-transferable. Participants may not transfer their registration, admission status, or any payments made to another individual, program, or future edition of Camp 2030 under any circumstances.

PURPOSE OF FEE

The Registration Fee supports both participation in Camp 2030 and the services rendered by UNITE 2030 in connection with the program. These services include, but are not limited to, application processing, participant communications, onboarding support, production planning, and visa documentation. By submitting an application and making any payment toward the Registration Fee, the Participant acknowledges that services have been initiated and that such payments are subject to the refund policy described herein.

REFUND POLICY

Participants who submit a written cancellation request using the official Camp 2030 Withdrawal Form may be eligible for a partial refund of the Deposit, subject to the following conditions:

  • Weather, natural disasters, or public health emergencies

No exceptions to this policy will be granted.

NON-COMMUNICATION & FORFEITURE

If a Participant fails to make a required payment by the assigned deadline — including any scheduled installment under an approved payment plan — and does not contact UNITE 2030 in writing within ten (10) calendar days of the missed deadline, UNITE 2030 reserves the right to cancel the Participant’s registration. In such cases, all funds paid to date shall be forfeited in full, including any refundable portion of the Deposit. No refund or reinstatement will be granted.

C. CANCELLATION BY UNITE 2030

UNITE 2030 may cancel the in-person Camp 2030 at any time if it determines that it is not possible to hold the in-person event due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, riots, natural disasters, pandemic, war, crime, sickness, threats of terrorism per US Department of State Advisories, governmental acts or omissions, changes in laws or regulations or other events that UNITE 2030 determines would result in unsafe travel conditions or would not allow UNITE 2030 to safely offer Camp 2030 services in-person. In this case the Registration Fee is non-refundable. UNITE 2030 will provide an online alternative format for Camp 2030, the schedule and log in information will be shared with Camp 2030 Participants after notice of cancellation of the in-person Camp 2030. Camp 2030 Participants that wish to attend the online Camp 2030 format will be responsible to have the adequate technical equipment required to join, including access to a computer, smartphone or other digital device with an integrated webcam and mic plus a stable internet connection to take part in the online live sessions and other content that may be made available.

D.  TERMINATION

UNITE 2030 can terminate the participation of any Participant in Camp 2030 if UNITE 2030 or its agents or representatives deem said Participant to be detrimental to Camp 2030 or to the reputation of UNITE 2030 itself, or if the information provided on the application form or any other form is deemed fraudulent. In this case the full Registration Fee is non-refundable and UNITE 2030 shall have no responsibility for any expenses incurred by any such Participant. UNITE 2030 reserves the right to expel any Participant for disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior at any point during Camp 2030 as deemed appropriate by on-site UNITE 2030 staff and volunteers (or online moderators in the case of online Camp 2030 format). All consequential costs of Participant expulsion shall be borne by the Participant without recourse to refund of unused Camp 2030 benefits.

E.  RESPONSIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS

  1. Travel Insurance: Campers are required to obtain travel insurance, and responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate travel insurance in place and have received any required or recommended vaccinations in order to attend Camp 2030.

  2. Safety & Security: UNITE 2030 cannot guarantee the safety and security of Campers during attendance of Camp 2030. Campers are responsible for ensuring their own safety and security during Camp 2030 and in respect of any travel in connection with the Summit and whilst spending time on camp or in New York City. UNITE 2030 disclaims any liability for loss or damage to Campers or their property, including bodily injury or death, unless solely attributable to the gross negligence of wilful misconduct of UNITE 2030 or one of its employees or volunteers acting in their employment function.

  3. Views: The views expressed by the speakers or attendees of Camp 2030 are their own and UNITE 2030 disclaims all liability for advice given or views expressed. Documentation distributed is intended for information only and should not be relied upon.

  4. Photo/Video Release: Please note that for promotional purposes, the Summit or any part of it may be recorded by audio, visual or electronic means (“Footage”). You agree and you agree to procure Campers’ agreement to permit UNITE 2030 to use and distribute such Footage, which may feature Campers’ voices and images, in all or any media. By participating in Camp 2030, you grant UNITE 2030 a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, or distribute any media in which your image, voice, or likeness appears, in connection with its mission-related programming, fundraising, or marketing.

F. MODIFICATION OF AGREEMENT & SUBSTITUTIONS

UNITE 2030 reserves the right to modify these Terms, including Camp 2030 services and costs, if UNITE 2030’s anticipated expenses are affected by unforeseen monetary fluctuations, changes in costs of services and accommodations, changes in transportation tariffs, or other circumstances beyond the control of UNITE 2030. In this event, UNITE 2030 shall provide notice as soon as practicable to the Participant. If such changes result in a Fee increase that exceeds 10% of Camp 2030 Fee, the Participant may cancel the contract and request to receive a refund of the payments made by the Participant to UNITE 2030, minus any out of pocket expenses paid by or to be paid by UNITE 2030.

G. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

In the event that Camp 2030 meeting venues, activities, conference agenda, or any other parts or all of Camp 2030 are changed, delayed, postponed, canceled, or otherwise not provided, UNITE 2030’s liability is limited to the provision of such substitute or supplementary venues, and/or services as can be secured or provided at no additional cost to UNITE 2030. UNITE 2030 shall have no responsibility in refunding to the Camp 2030 Participant due to such change, nor for any expense that may be incurred by the Participant due to such changes. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL LIABILITY TO THE Camp 2030 Participant (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE) EXCEED THE FEE PAID BY THE Camp 2030 Participant FOR Camp 2030.

H.  PROPERTY DAMAGE

UNITE 2030 shall not be responsible for any property belonging to the Camp 2030 Participant that is lost or damaged during the course of Camp 2030.  Further, the Participant understands that he/she is responsible for, and shall indemnify UNITE 2030 against, any and all claims made against UNITE 2030, its agents and representatives, for damage to property caused by any Participant during Camp 2030.

I.  CREDIT

Participant agrees to credit UNITE 2030 prominently in any publicity, brochures, films, videotapes, exhibitions, visual materials, or other materials that the Participant may be authorized by UNITE 2030 to produce or distribute in connection with Camp 2030. Such credit shall be listed or mentioned separately from any other recognition of support, e.g., “This photo/video was taken during Camp 2030, a project of UNITE 2030.”

J.  WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Participant agrees that UNITE 2030 shall not be responsible for, and Participant hereby waives any claim against UNITE 2030 for, and releases UNITE 2030 from, any liability of any nature whatsoever for loss (including additional expenses caused by delays and/or changes in meeting venues, activities, conference agenda or other services), damages (including consequential damages), or injury to property or persons due to any cause whatsoever, including, without limitation, any act, omission or negligence of any hotel, airline, bus company, railroad or owners or contractors providing accommodations or other services, occurring during the duration of Camp 2030, except for claims based on the willful misconduct and/or gross negligence of UNITE 2030.  Nor shall UNITE 2030 be responsible for any loss, cost, damage, injury, delay or expense arising from acts of God, strikes, weather, war, civil disorder, crime, sickness, pandemics, or other events beyond the control of UNITE 2030 and any loss or expense arising from the above contingencies shall be borne by the Participant involved.

K. INDEMNIFICATION

In connection with Camp 2030 and the conduct thereof, Participant agrees to indemnify and hold UNITE 2030, and its agents, affiliates, officers, employees, volunteers and directors (the “Indemnified Party”) harmless from and against any and all loss, liability, claim, suit or demand, including reasonable attorney’s fees arising there from, which may be asserted against the Indemnified party by any person or organization on account of the Participant’s involvement with Camp 2030, except if such loss, liability, claim, suit or demand is based on UNITE 2030’s willful misconduct and/or gross negligence.

L.  CHOICE OF LAW
