how to send a delegation

Step 1: Request information

All of the information you need about sending a Delegation to Camp 2030 is in our Delegation Info Pack. Submit a request and receive an email with the Info Pack & next steps.

Step 2: Submit Inquiry

Once you determine you want to lock in your Delegation, let us know! Fill out the Delegation Interest Form in the email sent from the UNITE 2030 Team and schedule a 15-minute meeting with us.

Step 3: Confirm Delegation

After meeting with our team, confirm your Delegation. From there, you can begin your internal selection process.

Step 4: Selection process

As a delegation partner, you're empowered to choose your Campers for Camp 2030. You can either hand-select attendees or launch competitions and applications to pick the most deserving candidates.

Step 5: submit Camper Details

Delegation partners must submit all Camper Details to the UNITE 2030 Team by no later than June 1st, 2024.

  • Mark your calendars for Sept. 9-14, 2024, as Camp 2030 unfolds. Let us handle the fun, operations, and logistics, ensuring a smooth experience for all. Delegation partners are welcome to provide supports and resources to their campers as they see fit, such as financial support for travel expenses, accommodations, etc. On the final day, Delegation partners are invited to the Solutions Hub—a grand finale to witness the impact of Camp 2030.

  • A delegation is a group of individuals, sponsored by a single entity (university, company, or organization), to participate in Camp 2030.

  • The minimum number of Campers in a Delegation is 6. There is no maximum. Groups of 2 - 5 Campers can apply as a group at www.unite2030.com/camp2030.

  • Yes, organizations are free to select their delegation members to ensure alignment with their values and objectives.

    Selecting your delegation's campers for Camp 2030 is a critical aspect of the participation process. We recommend that you choose individuals who demonstrate leadership potential, passion for addressing global challenges, and a keen interest in collaborative problem-solving.

    While we don't prescribe a specific selection process, many of our partners opt for a combination of applications, interviews, and recommendations. It's essential to ensure that the selected campers resonate with the mission and vision of Camp 2030 and are eager to represent your organization's values and objectives. By selecting motivated and passionate individuals, you'll maximize the benefits and impact derived from their experience at Camp.

  • Camp 2030 focuses on solving the world’s biggest challenges by bridging the gap between young trailblazers from diverse backgrounds and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. The program combines leadership training, community building, and project innovation in a unique setting. We call it “adult summer camp for Changemakers.”

  • Campers must be between 18 - 35 years old on September 9th, 2024.

  • To maintain the integrity and intimacy of the camp environment, we've adopted a closed-door policy. This ensures that the participants can engage freely, fostering genuine collaboration and open dialogue. While we understand the concerns and the desire for oversight, please rest assured that the well-being of our campers is our utmost priority. We have a dedicated support team in place throughout the event to ensure a positive and safe experience for all.

  • While we understand the natural inclination for delegations to work together, the ethos of Camp 2030 is built on fostering diverse collaboration and ensuring a mix of perspectives. Therefore, we encourage campers from the same delegation to collaborate with participants from various backgrounds and regions by splitting them up based on their Track.

  • Camp 2030 offers a blend of hackathon style innovation and social activities throughout each day. We will provide a detailed schedule closer to the event, ensuring delegates maximize their learning and collaboration opportunities.
