Our Story

When I started my professional journey in the humanitarian sector in London in 2014, I felt more empowered than ever to finally work in an industry that would allow me to pursue my work and passion in alignment with my values. In fact, in a recent study by our friends at The Possibilists, Changemakers who align their values & work experience significantly higher overall life satisfaction than those who don’t.

But after my first day on the job, I quickly learned that was not the reality.

The most frustrating part for me as a young professional was that I couldn’t tangibly see the impact that I was making. In fact, I wasn’t even sure it was happening. I was overworked, underpaid, and started experiencing burnout at age 22.

I started talking to my fellow young colleagues, who were experiencing similar feelings. I had just one thought: “what if we harnessed all of this collective passion and desire to do good, instead of letting it go to waste? If we did that, how much better would the world be?”

Recognizing this gap, UNITE 2030 was born.

Back then, we were just a Facebook group (a quickly growing Facebook group, at that! We gained almost 2,000 members in our first week!).

Today, we are one of the world’s fastest-growing communities for social change leaders, supporting over 35,000 young leaders from 175+ countries to harness their passion, desire to do good, and authenticity to amplify their impact.

To date, we have hosted over 650 events for thousands of young innovators, social entrepreneurs, and Changemakers from almost every country on earth, helping them to develop leadership & entrepreneurial skills, as well as to develop real, authentic connections through our network.
